Membership of SDC is by invitation triggered by one of the following:

• if we have seen someone’s work or had it recommended to us
• if someone has attended an open audition for one of our shows and been invited to join us
• if someone feels they can subscribe to our aims and meet our standards of commitment.

In addition to active members, we are increasingly supported by a host of ‘friends’. Many of these are people who regularly attend our performances and wish to assist in some practical way. Some are our sponsors who provide practical and/or financial assistance to us.

For a minimum fee of £10 per annum, members are entitled to following privileges and discounts:

• Production specific benefits for bookings – such as discounted tickets (in the region of 10% off tickets) or free programmes
• Priority bookings for theatre trips and similar events
• Reduced price workshops – saving up to 25%
• Regular newsletters to keeping members up to date with all the latest SDC news, plays, auditions, events and workshops
• Free attendance at monthly play readings
• A membership card
